JAVA problem

Hi All
I updated to Sun Java 6....when visiting YouTube I received the message Java
was turned off.
Checking all Java installations I saw that I had about 4 of them..5.9 5.10
etc.
Using Add&Remove I removed all instances of Java ..rebooted....and
reinstalled Java 6 again.
A quick check at the Sun Java site required me to click the "Java Check"
button at least 4 times before it finally worked and said Java
installed.Going back to YouTube gave me the same error message.........
I am assuming that somewhere in the Registry is an IE7 setting that disables
Java..........??????
Can someone point me in the right direction to "enable" Java under
IE7....its is enabled under addons.

This is the message I receive
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of
Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest flash player.
Flash player is up to date

Javascript and Java are not the same thing. Check the settings in IE7 under
Tools | Internet Options. You might want to post to the internet explorer
newsgroup. That's the best place for IE7 questions.

There are quite a few posts there so peruse them for something on topic
before posting a new message.
