I have windows XP. I was having trouble in some websites
only, where there is an 'x' showing in a block rather
than the actual items. I tried opening the "X. etc, still
didn't show the items. I spoke to others who have
windows xp, they don't have this problem when on the same
website. I spoke to a computer tech., he advised that it
appeared to be a java problem. He gave me a newer version
of java for XP, which I installed. I still get the
problem with the "X". Everything else seems OK.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions?

Please let me know.

Thanks,

KPower

Hi Carey, I had the same problem and have tried both of your recommendations, now I do not even get the red X, just a blank box. XP tells me the Java system is working but it still does not download the applets. I get an error msg of ' applet fphover notinited' any suggestions to remedy this problem would be gratefully accepted... cheers
