Does anyone know why do I have occausional Japanese
letters in my english pages? I have a Japanese daughter-
in-law who used my computer earlier in the year. Could
she have made changes to cause this?

Thanks, John

Do you have Japanese in your Language Preferences? (Alt-T,O,Alt-L,...)
That would mean that the browser would be telling the sites you visit
that the user could read Japanese. E.g. English might be preferred
but Japanese is your second choice so some Japanese is included.

BTW you might also want check that your Regional Settings don't
allow you to accidentally slip into *sending* Japanese. The default
keystrokes for switching between multiple input languages is very
easy to hit by accident IMO, especially if you aren't even aware that
they might be active.
