My son in law installed some kind of japanese character
set into my explorer when using my computer, now he's
gone and my computer shows japanese characters for any
non-standard (non us) character. This includes
apostrophes and (c) and (r) symbols and other
typographical symbols. This is especially annoying when
viewing spanish websites, because every accented
character turns into kanji. Any ideas on how to identify
and uninstall this feature, or make it optional only for
japanese websites?

Thanks.. ideas write me at mdavisx at aol.com

Try changing your language settings for the Internet Explorer:
Control Panel | Internet Options | Languages tab near the bottom

Select whatever language you use as your default language.
