I just re-formatted and I'm having problems viewing
Japanese characters in explorer (and coincidentally in
notepad as well). On the actual webpages, the japanese
characters appear, although in a really odd font that my
computer didn't use before the format. The problem is in
the title area of explorer - instead of displaying the
given title in Japanese, it only displays boxes. Maybe
they'll show up here if you don't change your encoding...
読める？
This is probably related... when I use notepad to write
html and use Japanese characters, there are problems.
The characters don't show up in notepad, but after saving
it in html format and viewing it in explorer, the
charcters show up as I typed them... weird, huh?
I didn't have problems with this before the format, but
I've reinstalled all of the updates I had and the
Japanese language pack and my Japanese Global IME. I'm
running xp.
Anyway, if anyone has a suggestion, please let me know...
