itunes music

Is there any way I can use music I buy with itunes in my movies? I've tried,
but it says the songs are protected m4peg files or some such thing. Can they
be converted into wavs in anyway. (preferably using a freeware application!)
Cheers,

I've asked this question once here and once in another group, and both times
I've not had a single response. Am I to assume this just cannot be done?

Try going to PapaJohn's site and navigate to:

....Import Movie Source Files / Digital Rights Management..

Also have a look at the.."Music and Audio" page.

Chris,
Have you tried using Audacity? A free audio converter utility? From ;

Hi Quilly! Just downloaded it. It will import the fils no problem but won't
play them.
I guess I could load up the normal windows sound recorder and then play the
songs using itunes, and record them with the recorder and then use them.
That might work.

What you can do is burn a CD using itunes and then rip the songs using
windows media player, and then import them with MM it works
perfectly

This has probably been one of the most painful then rewarding experiences EVER!!!! :) Finally figured it out...downloaded a trial version of Xilisoft and it worked PERFECT! Super simple, and now ITunes has NO power over me!!!
Heres the site:
http://www.xilisoft.com/m4a-converter.html
You can go from m4p-->mp3 vise versa, and a million other things!
For the record, I downloaded Wedding Dress by Wil and the conversion worked perfect, but it wouldn't work with Counting Blue Cars by Dishwalla. Wasnt sure if I'd run out of my trial or what...I think your allowed two and I screwed up my first attempt with Wedding Dress...SO DONT SCREW UP!!
