iTunes incompatibility with Windows XP?

Hello,

Every time, without "fail", that I use iTunes for something or other (to
listen to music that I've stored, to download music, upload onto my iPod,
etc.) my pc performance becomes very sluggish and/or it freezes. I end up
having to restart the pc and perform a disk clean up or registry maintenance
in order to get it back up to speed. Does anyone know why this is happening
and how I can fix it?

Mac software is written in a form sometimes called 'big_enden'. Porting the
code (converting it from mac to pc) has never been Apple's (ITunes) strong
suit. I would expect that your %Temp% is filling to near disk capacity. A
batch file could clear it much faster than cleanmgr. del /Q %TEMP%, md %TEMP%
