The 64-bit version ISO-file is ~4.1 GB and the 32-bit version ISO-file is
~3.1GB

I think I'll wait for service pack 2.

From what I've observed, Vista will be ready for worldwide public release in
about 10 years or so. Of course, that won't stop Microsoft from releasing
it next year. -Dave

dunno what you are doing:

I have two and they work 'nice' (as a beta can...):
dl'd and DVD.
I did not see that login/logout issue at all.

Did you properly check your downloads are ok?
Did you maybe use the download manager, that checks in the end if the
downloaded thingo is actually complete/correct?

You downloaded from some cable provider, right?

if so:

why not get Internet access instead?
