item on all submenus - switchboard

Main switchboard lists multiple sub menus....four schools and one for
"District Totals". Each of these five submenus leads to reports, etc.

"District Totals" shows up as a button on the four school switchboards but
is not supposed to. When I click it, it says that there was an error reading
the switchboard items table. District Totals is listed on the switchboard
items table as part of the main switchboard and as it's own switchboard but
it DOES NOT appear as an option in any of the school switchboards. It's like
a ghost stuck in the form. I can't take it out because it doesn't exist in
the school switchboards according to SBM.

Any suggestions?

I keep seeing pretty reliable references to the possibility that SBM may not
work as advertised....is it buggy?

Heres the table. Thanks for looking at it.

Additional, perhaps? unrelated discovery in form design view.

Also, I have a "hidden button" in form design view. It's called
optionlabel8 and there's another smaller button associated with it called
option8. I can't see them in normal view but when I delete them, I get an
error something like "optionlabel8 in your expression is not available."

I do not see anything that is wrong. I can only guess that your code behind
the switchboard is corupt.
Try renaming your switchboard form and items table and then building another
one using the stithchboard manager.

I assume you are talking about the switchboard form and not another form.
Those labels and buttons become visible on the switchboard form when used.
Your switchboard form may be corupt. That is why I suggested to rename and
create new ones.

Recreated it and seems to be working fine....it just annoys me when I can't
find an explaination for unexpected behavior. Especially when I'm unfamiliar
with the app. Is it me or is it the code?

thanks!
