I am using Windows XP and when I am shutting down it tends to take a very
long time or at least it seems like it is froze, when it is trying to shut
down and I have the blue screen with "Windows is Shutting Down". I have tried
to look for the answer at microsoft.com and I should have all the microsoft
updates but I still don't understand what is going on. Can anyone please help
me?

I reviewed the solutions on that website and I even restored back to my
original factory settings. When I first restored to my original factory
settings it was shutting down normally, then after one day it started taking
a long time to shut down again (approximately 10 minutes). It cannot be a
software issue from another program because I haven’t put any additional
programs on to my computer yet. I ran a diagnostic test on my hardware and it
passed all the diagnostic tests. I’m thinking that this has to be a Windows
operating systems problem. Can anyone help me with this?
