Issues

I've just recently performed a system recovery, using a recovery disk that
came with this computer, reverting from XP Pro back to XP Media Edition
2005. Now everytime I try to encrypt a file on my system I get an "access
denied" error, even though I'm on the main user account. I've been to
Microsoft's help center and they mention this, but didn't provide a solution.

Also, I currently have no Standby or Hibernate option when I go to shut it
down. Curious to know what would be causing these issues, whether I have
something disabled which inturn is keeping them from functioning properly, or
if I have to d/l a component thats required for them to work. Any help would
be apppreciated, thanks.

I don't know much about going back to a Recovery disk that would help, but
you might find that start/run, type:
shutdown -s -t 00
would shutdown the system for you. If that works, all you need is a shortcut
to do that on Start.
