Are there any problems with Windows 2000 Advanced server
recognizing 8gb of RAM? Is there anything special you
have to do to configure the OS to see all 8gb?
Thanks.

Use the /PAE switch in your C:\boot.ini file.

Here's why, taken from:

/PAE - Enables use of memory beyond 4 GByte by telling NTLDR to load
Ntkrnlpa.exe. Intel has created something called Physical Address
Extensions(PAE) which makes it possible to address up to 64 GByte of system
memory.
