issue with winsock....?

Hello all, hope that you can help....

I was a firefox user for awhile, until it randomly stopped connecting to the
internet one day....IE still did, so I used that for a while....then it
stopped working...

now the only browser I have is still IE, but it only works through Lotus
Notes (....), which, I'm sure you can understand is a pain...I ran a registry
scan, and it came up with an issue with winsock or something....I followed
the steps to repair, but no problem was fixed....anyone have any insight?

What is the malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is
clean, what programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?

oh, should have mentioned - I'm running ZoneAlarm 6.5...all updated...thank

Check your ZoneAlarm settings and also the ZA forums. ZA can cause a lot
of strange connectivity issues.
