Issue with ATI Radeon 9600 XT

I just got a new ATI Radeon 9600 XT, and I have something
of a problem... the monitor doesn't seem to recognize the
card. I have a clear window in my case, and I can see
that the fan is running on the card, so it does seem to
be working. The cable is snug in the socket, so that
doesn't seem to be the problem. I have an EPoX 8RDA+
motherboard with an nVidia nForce2 chipset, with an AMD
Athlon 2500+ processor and 1 gig of RAM. I am upgrading
from an ATI Radeon 8500LE, which still runs fine in the
computer. My monitor is an NEC FE771SB. My computer meets
all requirements listed by ATI. I've installed the latest
drivers from the EPoX website and have removed the
current graphics drivers on my computer. My motherboard
does not have onboard graphics, so I doubt there could be
a conflict there. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I am having the same problem with the ATI Radeon 9600SE,
I had the ATI RAdeon 7500 running flawlessly and then
when I tried to switch I could only get a blank screen
after the windows splash screen. Thng is the system
boots up but with no video.

I am running my system right now with the GeForce 400
card. :-(

Sure would like to get my 9600 up and running.
