Issue make XP image

Hi All

I am making an image using sysprep for two different PC model (for example
PC "A" and "B"), . Lets say the image is made from PC "A". When the image is
made i make sure it has all the driver for PC "A" and "B", the image also has
a printer (samsung receit printer) driver in it.

When the image is loaded to PC "A" everythign works fine, but whe it is
loaded to PC "B" everythign works fine except that when the computer restarts
after the image is loaded a pop up windows comes up showing "New Hardwar
found". It is looking to install the printer driver again. If I go through
with the installing again than all is good.

But i don't want this pop up message to be there. I don't know why this
should come anyway as I already have the printer driver loaded in the image.
Is this normal or there is something special i have to do since its 2
different model of PC.

Any thoughs please help me. Mind you the pop up message comes up when the
printer is pluged in to PC "B".

I suspect the two computers do NOT have the same motherboard. You can't
move an image from one pc to another unless the motherboards are the same.
The intent of an image it to make a backup that can be restored to the same
pc.

This should not be a big issue with Windows XP, you just have to put the
Windows XP CD in and run the repair option. Pretend that your installing
the OS for the first time. Eventually a screen will come up asking if you
want to do a clean install or repair the existing installation.

Once everything is running fine, you can make an second image that is
designed for that pc.
