ISO

An ISO image file is an exact representation of a CD or DVD,
including the content and the logical format. Common utilities
for writing an ISO file to recordable media, such as a CD-R, include
ISORecorder, Nero, and Roxio. The contents of images files can
be extracted to a hard drive using utilities such as ISObuster or
DaemonTools.

Most third party burning programs. I use Nero for this task.

Yes, I have Nero. It creates it's own format *.nrg
So I was confused.
I will give it a try to burn ISO.
Thanks.

You're welcome, Pete. It's easy to get confused with Nero. The interface
has come a long way over the years but it can still be a little convoluted
at times. Not sure what you mean about .NRG.

To burn an ISO, I open Burning ROM. Cancel the wizard thingy. Then click on
Recorder> Burn Image Select the ISO in the next screen. Make sure the speed
and other options are what I want and let it go to work.

Hi Sharon,

..nrg is a nero proprietary image file (if you use nero to create an image
file, this is the default), but the same functions in the program handle the
..iso's.

Launch Nero Express then click Disk Image or Saved Project. Point to
location of you ISO file. I'd recommend slowing the burn speed to a low
setting.
