I have six months remaining on a current analog modem dialup account. I'm
adding ISDN (different ISP) via a router. This is simply another dialup
connection that I establish on the XP PCs, right?

How does the router connect to the PCs?

If it connects using Ethernet cables, it's a "LAN or High Speed
Internet" connection, not a dial-up connection.
