WinXP Home automatically shuts down a few minutes after dialup via ISDN

One of our PCs are linked to the internet via ISDN dialup.
The PC is installed with Win XP Home Edition. It would
shut down automatically a few minutes after being
connected to the internet. Message that came up is
something like "RPC for NT not supported".

What's going on? Appreciate any ideas via email.
