Is W2K -> WinXP program transerence possible ?

I am upgrading my laptop. I am going from a 23 Mhz
laptop running Win2000 to a 1.8 GHz laptop running WinXP.
The problem I have is I am using Chapura's PocketMirror
to synch my Palm PDA with Outlook. I downloaded the
version of PocketMirror on the old laptop and save the
image from the download. Unfortunately, I cannot use the
upgrade version on the XP laptop because it requires and
existing copy to upgrade against.

Is there a way to copy the installation from the old
laptop to the new laptop and have it run?

Thanks for your time.

Windows 2000 runs on a 23 Mhz computer? Wow.

Installed programs cannot be copied between computers because they
need to have registry entries etc. in order to run properly. This
requires that the program's install routine (e.g. setup.exe) be run.

How did you originally get the software installed on the Windows 2000
machine? Do you still have that disk?

Good luck
