Is ultimate extras ulimate nonsense?

Note that they are "Vista Ultimate" extras, not Vista "Ultimate Extras".

They have no connection to SP1. There may well be more in time but, for now,
the Vista team have other more pressing obligations..

Microsoft guys seem to beam as they promise more .. so ..

Those are extras and available through Windows Update, and Microsoft said
from the beginning that they will be only for Vista Ultimate customers. Yes,
I've noticed people have been complaining that these are not enough extras,
but the Microsoft guys say there will be more coming down the pipe. It's a
wait 'n see.

I assume you have Windows Vista Ultimate since the Extras are not
available with other versions of Windows Vista.
There have been a few Extras released.
And many feel they are fewer than expected.
However since the specifics were unknown from the beginning, few if
any made their purchase decision on this.

It seems your decision was based largely on this, perhaps it is best
you return Windows Vista.
