Is this possible?

I have a legacy app I have been given the task of running under Terminal
Services. There is no setup program, everything is copied to a folder on the
hard disk and an exe is run.

Is it possible to do this under Terminal Services?

Thanks

If you are lucky: yes.
If you are unlucky: no.

Impossible to say anything more specific, it all depends on the
application. Sometimes these really old apps are the easiest to
install and manage, simply because there is nothing to install and
manage.
But if the application saves settings files in hardcoded locations,
assuming a single user, you could be in trouble. Also when it
produces output files with hardcoded filenames, and multiple
concurrent users find themselves wiping out the files that another
user has created minutes earlier. The number of problems is
endless, but I actually have one or two of these stone age
applications running happily with 500+ users simultaneously...

Just give it a try on a test server, and if it doesn't work, post
the details of the program and the problems here.

Thanks, can I just copy the files to the server and point to the exe and put
a shortcut on the desktop?
