After streaming my Windows XP and SP2 for a boot disc, it appears my computer
won't recognize the disc. It still recognizes the REAL XP disc, so it appears
I'm back at square one.

I cannot reinstall Windows because I have a superior version installed. Is
there any way to revert or uninstall back to the original Windows XP setup?

Jon;
There is no uninstall possible if SP-2 is slipstreamed.

You can perform a Repair Installation of Windows XP with the "REAL XP disc":

However if you post your problems in a new thread in an appropriate
newsgroup, someone will probably be able to help with a solution that keeps
the security of SP-2.

did you try system restore?
