A friend has a dial-up connection - and would like to
browse with images off - and load them only when
necessary.

Suggestions welcomed.

Is there anything that would load (show) one, and only one,
selected image on a page?
A la R-click | Show Image in Netscape 4.

Would that such a thing were possible. However, so far as
I've seen, it's an all-or-nothing proposition; ignore-all
or see-all.

Hey,

Good news. Show Image was updated to load a single image - if
read it right:

Thank you muchly :o)

Omar Khan has abandoned all extension development. Image
Loader, which he renamed Image-Show-Hide-Load at some
point, will not install on Firefox 1.5.*. He wrote a lot
of extensions, and I recommend against trying to use any of
them. If you do manage to get any installed, be careful --
he usually set the maxversion to 999 so that Firefox will
never disable the extension after an upgrade, which could
cause all sorts of problems.

Ouch -- I'll skip that one. As well as any w/ 999 max. ver.
Thanks for the warning!
