is there a way to execute programs in windowed mode

I'm completely paralyzed and control my computer with a bunch of different
switches. I have now bought a program called "joysim" which will help me
control games. The trouble is that it only runs in windowsmode. So when I
start a game that is launched as fullscreen (not in windowed mode) the joysim
program won't work.

Therefore I wonder if there is anyway to start games in windowed mode.

Program specific requests like yours, aren't really suited to this NG.
Sometimes you'll get lucky and a user with 1st hand knowledge can
help you.
Best 1st resource is the company's web-site. Usually, they will have
a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) or better yet a forum.
Gamers are a helpful sort and most likely somebody has a solution to
your question.
Anyway for what it's worth, you can Right Click the Game Icon &
Left Click Properties - Check the Run Box, from here you can toggle
the setting to Window and see if that meets your requirements.
