If you know what words you are looking for, Find and Replace could help you.
It may be worth looking at Tools | Options | Spelling and Grammar. Click on
Settings, and you'll find some checkboxes you can use to fine-tune the
grammar checker. Conceivably telling Word to flag "colloquial language"
might catch offensive slang--not sure if there is a checkbox for cursing.
Yes, you read it and delete what you feel is inappropriate.
