Is there a log option for processes?

When a popup gets kicked off, i assume there is some
process that runs for a sec or two. Where can i find a
log of the process that runs to kick it off? I am hoping
i can scan this to determine what is doing the pop-ups...

All scans return nothing. Blocked a bunch of stuff/BHOs
etc. to no avail...

Thanks!

No such luck. Logging is a service Windows provides to apps, but the apps
have to choose to write to the logs.

Check out Ron Kinner's offered cleaning services--the process is pretty
simple, and you can learn quite a bit just looking at the HijackThis logs.

In general--just look for a message from Ron Kinner--many of them have the
details needed to download HijackThis and email the logs to him.
