Hi,

My problem, a couple of days ago after auto. downloading the latest
MS.updates
and restarting my computer my print size changed from about 12 (I like it a
bit larger)
to about 4 - 6 pts. I did a system reset and it returned to my original size
but then downloaded
an update (?) and when it restarted it went back to 4 - 6 pts. I contacted
MS who asked me to send a 'Print Screen'
but my keyboard attached to my laptop didn't work and so I tried unplugging
and using the laptop keyboard
but I still couldn't get it to work.
I have tried to turn off W. updates but they don't seem to accept turn off
so I have to System reset, use the computer
for a while and then it goes back to Very Small Font Size !!
As I am typing this the font size of the typing is fine (12pts) but the
header (Newsgroup/cc./Subject is tiny)

Any ideas ?

Thx,

Hey there Ian -

Because it's not all of the font on your screen, is it possible that you are
having some problems with the keyboard or mouse? Using CTRL-MOUSESCROLL is
the shortcut to change text size, and if your control key sticks or your
system has a slow response, you may find your text changing size
inadvertently while scrolling your mouse wheel. Take a look in the app menu
under "View/Text Size" and see what the text is currently set at. If the
problem happens again you may find that the setting there has changed. For
myself it's typically because of a latent "release" of the CTRL key either
because the system is bogged down or because I fat-fingered it while working
on the system.

I hope this helps!

.

You might look at the accessibility menu. Go to Start >
Control Panel > Accessibility Options. Under "Pick a
task to perform" select "Configure Widows to work for
your vision, hearing, and mobility needs."

This will start a wizard that will walk you through
several different options which will allow you to make
changes to the font size accross the board.

If you are only experiencing this problem in your word
processing program it might be easier to go to the "View"
tab at the top of the page and select you text size from
there.
