I have recently had a unwanted software/bug installed on
my cpu which when i try to dowload a file fro the web,
redirects me to a diretory/search engine and i am not
able to download anything.
on the site there is a link at the bottom of the page
that links to antoher page that reads:

If you don't want to continue using smart-finder, follow
instruction below:
Click "Start" -> "Run"
Type "regedit" and click OK.
In navigation tree go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\SharedTaskScheduler
Then delete all keys at the right panel (just click on it
and press Delete key)
Then go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\classes\CLSID\{3F143C3A-1457-
6CCA-0A7-7AA23B61E40F} and delete all keys too.
Restart your PC.
Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\ folder.
Find file mtwirl32.dll and delete it.
If you not sure that you can make it yourself, you can
download a small software:

Download uninstaller

What should I do, is it safe to follow these
instructions? This is a starting to be a real pain.
Please help.

PS: the web sites address is http://www.smart-
finder.biz/1507/ but the uninstaller doesnt seem to work.

http://www.lavasoftusa.com (AdAware)
http://safer-networking.org (SpyBot)

Install one or both, and run them.
