Hello,
I am trying to get rid of programs on my computer that I do not use. I am
using the Add/Control programs feature of the Windows task manager and I
found at least five programs with names starting with "Microsoft SQL". I
think these were installed when I worked in this lab and I had to compile a
C++ class library that used SQL. However, I am not sure about that.
I am not using my computer to store any databases (that I know of) now and
so I want to delete these programs. However, I am not entirely sure that this
is safe. I don't want to delete these programs and then find out that
Microsoft Word or Microsoft Visual Studio will not run without it.
Can someone verify that "Microsoft SQL" is not part of the standard Windows
installation and that none of the standard windows programs like Microsoft
Word or Microsoft Visual Studio or my web browser, mozilla firefox, depend on
it?
Thanks.
