I would like a logo picture in the master to always stay in front, so that if
I position another element at that position on the slide, I would still see
the logo. Is it possible to do this without adding the logo manually to each
and every page?

Putting it on the Master only ensures that it will appear on each slide. The
only way not to cover it up is to organize you slide in such a way that your
logo is not covered.

So, in fact, the functionality I am requesting does not exist? I guess I will
have to suggest that Microsoft adds it then...

I agree there should be a way to bring to the front items in the Master

This is suddenly a *very* popular request ... three times this week.

Everything on slide masters is always behind or underneath everything on slides,
so your options are:

- Don't cover the slide master stuff up with the stuff on your slides (lousy
option, I know)

- As needed, copy the graphic/whatever from the master to the slide where it's
needed after adding something on the slide that covers the master content

- Or use this macro:

Copy a picture or other shape to every slide in a presentation
