Is it possible to post a note onto a received email message

I need a way to post notes to received email msgs: For instance, if I
handled email by phoning, or talking to in person.
 
You can insert a Note item as an attachment or simply type it in the message
body. Another way to go would be to use a CRM solution like Microsoft Office
Business Contact Manager.
