I am having issues with my system. I did the registry
patch to get it to recognize my 250 gb hd, but not it
hard boots every time it tries to go into windows. All
of my hardware has been tested and works fine. Does
windows allow one to use a 250 GB hard drive to boot off
of, or does the Enable Big LBA registry edit mess up what
is already there? Thanks for the help.

Is yr hd recognised in the bios?
You may need to update bios.
Did you format/install prior to doing 'BigLBA' ?

Is this a serial ata drive, in which case did you install serial drivers, or
an ide drive.
I read a post frm an MVP that suggested there may be problems with a drive
structure that was formated and win installed, prior to doing the 'biglba'
fix.
On a personal note I would have suggested, using the win2k installation
disk, on a fresh install partitioning the drive and keeping the o/s seperate
from apps/data
