Hi, I'm trying to find out if Word documents saved as .MDI files can be
edited the same way Word documents saved as .PDF files can be edited?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I'm not sure I'm following you on this one. In Word 2007, whether you use File=>Print and choose the MS Office Document Image
Writer or the File=>Save As=>PDF using the MS add-in for Office 2007 the original Word document would be available (unless you
delete it).

Word has no ability to edit a .PDF file, but you can use MS Office Document Imaging to 'OCR' the .MDI (picture file) back into Word
text.

Hi Bob, I understand what you're saying but it seems kind of primitve but
I'll try it.
