Is it possible to attach a target frame to a wordart object?

I'm trying to attach a target frame (_blank) to a hyperlink on a wordart
object. Even though the hyperlink dialog shows it correctly, the target frame
does not take. This is because the hyperlink is attached to an image map.
Even if I try to edit the map code in the document, it disappears when I try
to save it.

Any ideas?

I see what you mean - it doesn't work. Sorry can find any solution.

For a work-around, you could try doing a screen capture, copy it to an image
editor, crop it, and save your word art as a jpeg or gif, then import, and
insert the picture and link to that instead.

Word art won't work in any browser besides IE.

You can set a frame target on a imagemap (hotspot) but you can not set one on WordArt.

FYI: Only IE users running under Windows can see WordArt (VML Graphics), so it best to avoid.

The HTML page in question will be running in an internet kiosk so I pretty
much can control the browser used! It won't be downloaded, just displayed
from a file.

I did the screen capture using PSP9 and made an image map to do the dirty
deed.

Thanks, everyone, for your replies!
