Is it ok to run Exchange on DC for Outlook clients?

Hi,

Hopefully this question can be answered but can I run Exchange on a Domain
Controller server for a small office that has a small network domain or is it
not advisable? Question being that space for an additional server is at a
premium and would like all their Outlook clients to connect to Exchange
without slow network access (by being on a DC). What would best practices
advise for a very small office (5 employees or so)? Thanks

Yes you can and by the way, if you are working with such a small office you
might want to take a look at Small Business Server by Microsoft.

Thanks Neo. By the way, they have Win 2003 server R2, that should be ok, right?
