Is BFG GeForce equivelant to nVidia?

I am looking for an nVidia PCI card and couldn't find any nVidia cards
in any of the local shops (including Future Shop and Best Buy). I did
find the following:

BFG GeForce 256MB PCI Video Card (FX5500OC)

It has a nVidia processor and comes with nVidia software. If the
"Supported video chipsets" of an appl listed NVIDIA GeForce FX series,
does the card above qualifies?

Thanks for any help,
Petre

Nvidia doesn't make any video cards themselves, like ATI does. They
just make the chips. I'm sure you saw many other brands that make
Nvidia cards.

Actually, the BFG is one of the best you can buy.

Nvidia doesn't make video boards except as engineering samples, they make
chips that other manufacturers put on video boards. So the BFG is as much
an "nvidia" board as any other.

Didn't realize that they anybody had made a 5500 PCI--just 5200 and 5700.
