is automatic updating of links possible when publishing?

I have a complete website built on my c drive, but whe I
go to publish, the links still reference my c drive rather
than being updated to reflect their new location on my
isp's server. is there a way to automatically update to
the new location- the file structure will be unchanged, ie
I'm uploading the whole site, all folders, image files,
etc or do I have to go in and manually update all the
links?
I'm a first time user of this package and this seems
like an obvious feature but I can't find any info.

When working in FP, you must always open a web first via the File Menu | Open Web / Site and all
content to be used within the web (folder) must be either created in or imported into the folder via
FP prior to using or creating any hyperlinks.

Hi Tom,

When the pages were designed did you have a web open in FP first? I would assume not.

To correct, create a web then import all the pages (File | Import) and update the links.

If you did as Thomas and MD suggest, when you go to PUBLISH your web with FP to your http:// website FP will take care of changing all those hyperlinks automatically. Cool huh?!

Great, Thanks everyone! So let me get this straight... I
open a new web in FP, import my word docs (or word docs
that were saved as html) and then when I publish, all the
hyperlinks to other word docs I have imported to this new
web as well as the links in the document to the image
files that get imported will be updated to reflect a url
rather than a drive letter, right? also, would it be more
concise (or even possible)to import a .doc file or a html
file that was created from the .doc?

theoretically yes. you may have problems with urls in word docs for the images, although I've never done that. If you do, you may have to import the images into FP first then re-link to the text then publish to web.
