To switch IRQ's under Microsoft's NT based OS's, ACPI cannot be installed.
During the XP Setup procedure, there is an opportunity to switch from an ACPI
to a Standard PC. In which case, then all devices are assigned their own IRQ,
instead of the cascading all addin card devices under 1 virtual IRQ like seen
in the IRQ list on an ACPI computer. To switch from ACPI to Standard PC, you
will most likely have to re-install windows. If you do a search on "how to
switch HAL ( Hardware Abstract Layer ) you will find more information.
