IRQ help

Please see my IRQs below. I definately think I have too
much happening on IRQ 11. Could someone give me advice
on how too manage this for better performance. I'm having
sound card issues too. I also have a promise ata card that
all my storage devices are plugged into. My com ports are
currently unused but I may at some later date have ISA
56K dialup on com3 as a backup to my dsl. Thanks.

It's not a problem. It's normal.

ASPI will take care of IRQ issues. If you have not 'reset the
configuration data' after upgrades
or movement of hardware, you could try that.
In the bios reset configuration data? YES
PnP OS installed? NO (this on most XP Os'd
machines does little one way or another)

'No' is what I have been using forever and have always had good luck
with that setting.

If your MB has APIC, enable it. It is normal for ACPI OS's to group
IRQs. In the olden days <G> you had to conserve your IRQs and
adding another card frequently meant you had to disable something
else to free up an interrupt.
Current OSs are designed to share IRQs to help alleviate that need.
If you install a non ACPI HAL you can designate the IRQs to each device
(within reason) but will lose some of the Power management features.
If your system is not running right, you need to upgrade your drivers.
Recent drivers are specifically written to share IRQs. Older drivers
most likely will not leading to system crashes and such.
APIC gives Win more IRQs to work with. One of my SCSI cards shares
IRQ 23 with a USB hub. Didn't notice offhand that anything else shares
but it's possible that a couple devices still share an IRQ here or there.

Please see my IRQs below. I definately think I have too

This is not an issue for modern systems whose hardware is fully ACPI
compliant. It also depends on the operating system.
In my Win98SE setup you will notice my Modem Enumerator shares with my
video card which used to be a,"No-No" but as long time online gamer I
can tell you it has no effect on performance. My WinXP setup uses
different IRQ assignments as my mother board supports APIC as does
WinXP.
