Users have been complaining on the company's support forum that their new phones are scratching easily. Indeed, some say theirs were damaged before they were even shipped, with the protective film slapped over the top.
But when one owner contacted the company to ask what could be done, he recenved a rather dismissive response from senior vice president of marketing Phil Schiller, as 9to5Mac.com reports.
"Any aluminum product may scratch or chip with use, exposing its natural silver color. This is normal," Schiller wrote.
