IPconfig does not show wireless adapter information

When I run ipconfig from the command prompt, it does not show my wireless
adapter, only my wired LAN adapter. Therefore when I am connected using my
wireless adapter and I run ipconfig I do not get my IP address information.
It shows my wired LAN adapter as disconnected and that is all.

When I go to my network places it shows all of my adapters but ipconfig does
not show my wireless adapter.

Any thoughts?

Use the wireless card's own configuration panel..

ipconfig only looks at current/local computer. access router to see ip for
wireless connection.
