IP configuration gets reset when laptop goes into hibernation

When my laptop goes into hibernation, my IP address
resets to a default address. Are there any settings that
keep the IP address after coming out of hibernation?

Check the laptop vendor's website to see if there is an updated
driver for the NIC.
