Invisible New Messages?

I am getting notifications of new messages, and the count in my inbox is
rising, but the messages are not in my inbox. I've already double-checked my
view to make sure I have "all messages" selected. Any other ideas?
 
Which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not fully compatible
with Windows Mail, and can cause assorted strange problems.
