invisible e-mail sending

Outlook 2003 is trying to send an e-mail that doesn't
appear in the outbox. When I cancel Send/Receive I got
an error message about an unknown task error 0x80048002.
I can't seem to find or delete this invisible message.
No viruses reported, no spyware found. Any ideas?

Is this a read receipt? If you create a new profile, does this help?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Rick asked:

I can't tell if it's a read receipt, I haven't requested
one. I tried creating a new profile, same result. Thank
you for your assistance.
