error 0x80048002 while receiving mail

Hi all,

A friend of the family is having problems receiving mail in outlook. In a
mail to my father she wrote:

"I am not receiving any email messages: at 50% it stops and says an error
(0x80048002) occurred. The task has been cancelled before it was
completed."

Obviously sending messages is not a problem.

The mail header shows:
X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook, Build 10.0.2627

I'm assuming she has the Dutch version of outlook.

Any ideas on how to solve this?
