invalid product key

I have an acer laptop with windows vista home premium. I recently had a virus
and had to reload vista. Now that it has been reloaded, Microsoft Office Home
and Student requires the product key. I very carefully wrote it down when I
purchased it online (I subsequently lost the e-mail though). But everytime I
put in the key it comes up invalid. I requested disc back up when I ordered
Office and neither the discs nor the case it came in has the product key. I
try getting help online but I need the Product ID (is that the same as the
key?) and there is no ID listed.

I am a poor college student so if anyone knows of free solutions, please
respond!
I don't know what to do! Help!

Ok, it was resolved easily. I called the free number (866) 452-4755,
navigated until I spoke to a representative. I needed to have a case number,
was transfered, but I was issued a new product key! The call took 15 minutes
(mostly on hold) but everyone I spoke to was nice and clear. Highly recommend
it!
