Invalid Backweb Application

I recently downloaded and installed Spybot - S&D. I then
read the tutorial, conducted a scan and performed what I
thought were some necessary fixes. After logging out and
returning later in the day, upon login a dialogue box
popped up with the header "Runner Error". The message
contained therein reads: "Invalid backweb application id
137903". Although this may not be a MS issue, perhaps
some generous person will share their knowledge and
advise me in several more words what, in fact, the
message is saying and what action is required on my part
to rectify the matter. Thanks!

Hi,

Backweb is an application commonly included in major OEM installations as
part of their support. It is not a part of WinXP and can safely be disabled.
Start/run msconfig and look on the startup tab for a reference to it that
you can uncheck.

Elmer,

apologies if you detest top posting but there goes.

I'm no pro by any stretch of the imagination but a search on Google for
backweb will give you more info than you need. Personally I would simply
uninstall 'backweb' as you're not likely to need it. Try the control panel.

There, told you I was no pro!
