introduction of *.pst into Outlook following a reformat

When I go through the hoops for installing my backed-up pst file, one of the
msg's I receive: "outlook backup-pst properties for this information must be
defined prior to use!"
Another notice denies access, because I am not recognized as administrator.
(not so since I am the sole user)
I appreciate any advise!

Thank you Hal,
I followed the direction contained in that URL. It earned me a rejection
explained by two notices:
"Properties for this info service must be defined prior to use." and
"File access is denied. You do not have permissioin required to access the
file."
Both leave me helpless.--
an old - old guy who tries to keep up!

I suspect you haven't copied the PST to your hard drive and removed the
read-only attribute.

You suspected correctly. I should have known one cannot change anything
written to a CD. Thank You!
