I seem to have an intresting problemI'm working on a
machine today that has all the symptoms of a sasser worm
infection. I as was on a service call today for this
machine and i saw the symptoms ran multiple virus scans
with updated definitions the removal tools from symantec
and microsoft.
When it was connected to the customer dialup internet
within 5 minutes the same error for sasser comes up and
his xp home machine rebooted. This happened everytime i
tried to connect to the internet.
The odd thing was when i brought it back to the shop to
take a closer look it's fine. no more problems on dialup
or high-speed internet.
The only difference is the fact at his home he had a
cannon multipass f50 Printer hooked up to his machine.
Could this be causing the problem?
