Had an interview today for a minor admin role at a local hospital, don’t think I got the job.
But it did remind me that a friend went for an IT interview about 6 weeks ago at another hospital, the interview was going badly and he knew he would not get the job, so when they asked him that he would have to go for some tests (to see what his IT skill were like) He blurted out that he gave blood and a sample last week. He said one of the interviewers nearly fell off his seat at this. In the feedback phone call he chatted about my friend getting more qualifications, but he said that it was the best one liner he had ever heard at an interview, and the panel all had a good laugh, they even suggested he re-apply if the vacancy came up again.
